Thank you for visiting our website. My name is Tish Hitchcock, AKA Miss Tish :)
I am the owner, and Head Directress for Creative Crayons Montessori Preschool.
Children are captivating, funny, aware of their environment, honest and brilliant.
I am so delighted to call Camrose my home and to teach amazing children in our community.
Why Montessori?
For many years I have been fascinated by the Montessori Method. When my family and I moved to North Bay Ontario, I finally had the privilege of work in a Montessori Program at the Montessori Children's House. This is where I saw children working first hand with Montessori materials. What a magical sight watching children repeatedly going back to the materials they love, working independently, working together to problem solve as well as learning about their world around them.

Hi! My name is Miss Katelynn! I am one of the Montessori Guides here at Creative Crayons Montessori Preschool, I also happen to be Miss Tish’s daughter. I started working here in 2022 after living in Edmonton and working as a Special Education Teacher. I graduated with my BEd from the University of Alberta in 2020. I live with my dog, Atlas and am a self-proclaimed history buff, linguistics nerd, and a Greek mythology lover.

Hi! My name is Gloria (MissG/Gloria), I am the newest addition to the Creative Creations Preschool family!
I was born, raised and currently live in Camrose, Alberta. I tried some sports growing up but nothing stuck and my main hobbies and interests turned into road trips/traveling, being outside lots, hanging out with friends and family and listening to music. I graduated from high school in 2021 and am currently continuing my journey of upgrading my schooling.
I am so happy to be apart of this team and can't wait to be able to work with you!

The Montessori Classroom
Creative Crayons Montessori Preschool is a program inspired on the teachings of Maria Montessori, an Italian physician, turned educator who spent many years observing and working with children. She developed an encouraging, stimulating program where children learn the skills needed to become responsible, productive, independent and loving citizens of the world.
Following the teachings of Maria Montessori, Creative Crayons Montessori Preschool program offers 5 main centers; Mathematics, Language Arts (Jolly Phonics), Practical Life, Culture/Science and Sensorial. Other important centres in our Montessori program is, art, music, sensory bin, and group time.
Our Classes
We offer mixed age group classes for children ages 2 years 6 months to 5 years of age.
Classes are:
2 days per week
*Monday/Wednesday (morning or afternoon)
*Tuesday/Thursday (morning or afternoon)
4 days per week
*Monday to Thursday
Times:
*Mornings classes:
9:00 am to 12:00 pm
*Afternoon classes:
1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
